Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Eligibility Criteria 2026
Nationality
The candidate must be:
- A citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal
- A subject of Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who came before January 1, 1962
- A person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries (as per UPSC rules)
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess any one of the following:
- Bachelor's Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subjects in all three years or six semesters.
OR
- Master's Degree in Statistics
- Mathematical Statistics
- Applied Statistics
from a recognized university.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
